A very successful "Art in the Garden Village" arts exhibition was held from 5th to 7th November 2010. HEALTHWAY was the Major Sponsor with its ACT-BELONG-COMMIT Campaign. The campaign theme was adopted by the local schools and used as part of their Art program for the year and was reflected in the childrens exhibits.

Opening night of the Arts Exhibition was well attended by artists, members and guests of the Nannup Arts Council. The exhibition was opened by Nannup Shire President Barbara Dunnet.

The location of the Town Hall for the Art Show was well attended on Friday and Saturday and considered an excellent venue. The quality of artwork and photography was of a high standard according to the judges. Apart from the Art Exhibition there were displays of Vintage Gowns, Hats and Floral Display at the Uniting Church, also Classic and Vintage Cars were on show at the Village Green. The Sculpture display was exhibited at the Blackwood Winery. Judging of the Arts Exhibition was conducted by Kevan Collett.

Local gardens of Nannup were opened to the public and some Nannup artisans also opened their studios to the public.

This Event was a good lead up to the Nannup Arts Festival planned for Queens Birthday long weekend. This is likely to be held in October, the calendar has not been set for this public holiday. Further information will follow early in the new year as to the actual date of the 2011 Nannup Arts Festival.
